Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Aethra (“Aethra,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of Aethra Copilot — our website, product, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Aethra is currently in beta. Features, pricing, and behavior may change as we improve the product, and we’ll do our best to communicate changes that affect you directly.

Aethra analyzes resumes and related career documents using AI models to provide ATS compatibility scores, keyword analysis, rewrite suggestions, cover letter generation, LinkedIn profile optimization, and a community feed where users can publish and discuss career-related content. AI-generated suggestions are advisory — you’re responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use them. We don’t guarantee any specific outcome (an interview, an offer, or a particular ATS score) from using the Service.

You need an account to use most of the Service. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Aethra offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Career+), billed monthly through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. Paid plans grant a monthly allocation of AI credits, which are consumed as you use AI-powered features; unused credits do not roll over or carry a cash value. Enterprise pricing is negotiated directly and isn’t covered by the self-serve terms here.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don’t provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice for existing subscribers.

You own the resumes, documents, and other content you upload or create using the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading or posting content, you grant Aethra a limited license to store, process, and — where you use an AI feature — send relevant parts of Your Content to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate the analysis, suggestions, or content you requested. We don’t use Your Content to train AI models, and we don’t sell it.

Content you publish to the community Feed (posts, articles, comments) is visible to other users — or to anyone with a link, for public posts — as described in that feature. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share, and don’t post content that’s illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape/resell its output at scale.
• Attempt to bypass AI-credit limits, rate limits, or plan restrictions.
• Upload malicious files, or content that’s unlawful, defamatory, or infringing.
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service’s infrastructure or security.
• Use another person’s identity or account without permission.

Aethra’s analysis features are powered by Anthropic’s Claude models. When you run an analysis, the relevant portion of your resume or document text is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing under their own data-handling terms. We don’t control how long transient processing data is retained on Anthropic’s side beyond what their API terms specify.

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a security risk to the Service or other users. If your account is on a paid plan when terminated for cause, we may not issue a refund for the remaining period.

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated output can be wrong, incomplete, or not suited to your situation — always review it before relying on it for a job application or any decision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aethra isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes, we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify active users (e.g. by email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
